Fort Wayne’s office vacancy rate dropped more than two percentage points from last year, a report from The Zacher Company shows.

The decline, however, is largely attributed to a sizable property – the Frontier building on West Jefferson Boulevard – being removed from the inventory list. The building has more than 240,650 square feet of space.

Overall, the city’s office vacancy rate for 2025 dropped to 11.60%, down from 13.66% a year ago, according to a 2025 market report being released today.

And Fort Wayne is doing well compared with similarly sized metro areas, The Zacher Company said. The local vacancy rate is about 20% below regional and national rates for office space.
