Opposition leader Sussan Ley has condemned preparations for a pro-Palestine march outside the Opera House just days after the anniversary of the October 7 attacks on Israel.

Palestine Action Group supporters are preparing to march outside the Sydney Opera House on October 12, calling for immediate sanctions on Israel and an end to what it alleges is Australia’s role in the global arms trade.

The planned rally has sparked political backlash, with Opposition leader Sussan Ley accusing activists of “sowing division and tearing at social cohesion”.
