A customer has shared their shock at being charged almost $100 for a fish and chips meal for two after visiting a restaurant in Western Australia.

The Aussie shared the receipt from Amberjacks in the affluent Perth suburb of Cottesloe after dining in on Monday.

A photo of the bill showed the diners had enjoyed a meal of snapper and grilled snapper, each priced at $26.45, and shared a portion of small chips for $10.35.

The upset customers had also ordered a crab stick for $4.03, a side of pineapple, also priced at $4.03, calamari for $18.40, and two portions of tartare sauce for $3.34 each.

The total cost of the meal for two was $96.39.

"Wtf? $100 for two fish and chips and a couple of sides," the customer captioned the receipt on Reddit.
