Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) edited sombreros and moustaches onto 44 Senate Democrats on Wednesday, threatening to “continue until they re-open our government.”

“The 44 Senate Democrats who voted for Schumer’s Shutdown should know that the Sombrero posting will continue until they re-open our government,” warned Cruz in a social media post . “Hey, Macarena!”

The senator attached a video slideshow, which showed the 44 Senate Democrats edited to look like stereotypical Mexicans as an AI-generated cover of “Macarena” with vocals by President Donald Trump played in the background.
