SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man suspected of stabbing his wife and assaulting his child during an argument in Imperial Beach was arrested Tuesday.

Around 10 p.m., a 16-year-old called authorities to report their father had stabbed their mother in the 500 block of 5th Street, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Wednesday.

Authorities say the father, identified as 49-year-old Enos Perez, was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with his wife. He is also suspected of assaulting one of his children before leaving the scene, per SDSO.

Perez was later located and arrested without incident in National City. He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and child abuse.
