PHOENIX — Detectives are investigating after a man was shot in north Phoenix.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex near Thunderbird Road and I-17 just before 5 p.m., Phoenix police officials said. Officers got to the scene and found one man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, police said.

No suspects have been identified, officials said.

Police did not release any further information.
