Dallas Mavericks fans have plenty they’d like to forget from last season. In midseason, they saw the blockbuster trade that sent star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis.

Unfortunately, Davis suffered an injury in his first game. For the injury, the former Lakers star was sidelined for over a month. Even before Davis’ return, Kyrie Irving tore his Achilles. Kyrie still remains in rehabilitation and is expected to miss a significant part of the upcoming season.

On Tuesday, the Mavericks were hit with another setback. Tim MacMahon reported that Daniel Gafford sprained his ankle on the very first day of training camp.

“Mavs C Daniel Gafford rolled his ankle on the first day of camp and will miss 2-3 weeks, Jason Kidd said,” MacMahon reported.
