A rare book on Mahatma Gandhi, published on his 75th birthday on October 2, 1944, has been discovered in an antique collector’s collection at Manjeri in Malappuram district of Kerala. The book, titled Gandhiji: His Life and Work, offers invaluable insights into Gandhi’s political life and philosophy.

The book features a signed message from Albert Einstein, where he pens the famous quote about Gandhi: “A leader of his people, unsupported by any outward authority; a politician whose success rests not upon craft nor mastery of technical devices, but simply on the convincing power of his personality.... Generations to come, it may be, will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.”
