A Frost Advisory is in effect for parts of central Pennsylvania overnight, with temperatures expected to drop into the 40s and potentially create patchy frost in colder valleys.

However, a rapid warming trend will quickly follow, bringing unseasonably warm temperatures in the 70s and 80s this weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory until 9 a.m. Thursday for several counties, including areas in the Laurel Highlands and south central Alleghenies.
