LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Warm weather remains in the forecast as we begin October, but we may finally see a couple showers or storms return each afternoon.
Slightly higher moisture will work in from the east on Thursday, and this may be enough to trigger a couple afternoon showers or storms. Overall coverage of rain looks limited, but we may need to keep a closer eye to the sky Thursday afternoon than we’ve had to do for the past week. Away from isolated showers, temps should have no problem reaching the upper 80’s to near 90 degrees.
Not much change is ahead on Friday and Saturday. In fact, some models indicate that rain coverage may drop again for these two days. This would be good for the festivals and fairs early in the weekend, but at the same time we could use some rain to help w
