Fast forward close to 85 years, and Florida (1-3, 0-1 SEC) finds itself in desperate need of a win over No. 7 Texas (3-1, 0-0 SEC) on Oct. 4 (3:30 p.m.., ESPN). The Gators have lost three straight, including back-to-back road games at LSU (20-10) and Miami (26-7).
Returning home, where the Gators are 15-7 under head coach Billy Napier, could be the tonic that UF needs to turn its sinking fortunes around.
