The Met Office has issued a three-hour weather warning for fog affecting parts of the UK on Thursday morning (October 2) which could lead to "travel disruption".

It comes ahead of Storm Amy, the first named storm of the season , which is set to hit the UK this weekend and has triggered several severe weather warnings for wind.

But ahead of then, on Thursday morning the Met Office has issued a yellow fog warning which came into effect at 7:15am and remains in place until 10am.

The Met Office has warned that the fog could cause "travel disruption" at peak commuter time in parts of southern England and the Midlands.
