EL CENTRO — The Naval Air Force Base El Centro announced that base services will be limited during the ongoing government shutdown, though several essential functions will remain open.
Emergency services, the galley, and most MWR programs, including the 24-hour gym and childcare services, will continue operating.
Both the Navy Exchange and commissary are expected to remain open, though officials say to call ahead to confirm operating hours, NAFEC wrote in a post made on social media.
The DEERS office will keep its regular schedule, while the Visitor Control Center (Pass ID) will operate with reduced staffing.
For immediate non-emergency assistance, base personnel should contact the Command Duty Officer at 619-804-6163. Updates will be posted to the base's Facebook page.
