ASHEBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Zoo has responded to the death of Dr. Jane Goodall.
Goodall, 91, was an environmental advocate known for her chimpanzee research.
She had made several visits to the North Carolina Zoo in the 1980s, the zoo said. They recently named a baby chimp to honor Goodall.
