Storm hooker Harry Grant will have some extra motivation in this weekend's NRL grand final when he comes up against the club he always wanted to play for.

The superstar hooker grew up in the central Queensland town of Yeppoon - just over seven hours away from Brisbane - and always had aspirations of pulling on a Broncos jersey one day in the top grade as a diehard fan.

But instead of fulfilling his childhood dream as a proud Queenslander, the 27-year-old was recruited by Melbourne as a teenager and brought into their system. Advertisement

After biding his time behind Cameron Smith and spending time at the Wests Tigers on a loan deal, Grant has now become the best No.9 in the competition.
