Supermarket giant Tesco has put forward plans to open a new store in Kent . Proposals submitted to Medway Council would see a new Tesco Express store in Napier Road, Gillingham , a mixed-use street with residential properties as well as a number of businesses.

The planned site for the supermarket branch is 48-52 Napier Road which is not a listed property and previously housed Gabriela's Thai & Mediterranean Restaurant. It is served by handy public transport links, sitting 10 minutes away from Gillingham railway station and along multiple bus routes.
