PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - The trial for a man accused of shooting and killed two people who police say robbed a dispensary in north Portland began on Wednesday.
Jason Steiner is facing two counts of murder for the deadly shooting that happened on Oct. 3, 2024 at La Mota dispensary in the 9400 block of North St. Louis Avenue.
Steiner was an employee at the dispensary at the time of the shooting.
Surveillance video shown in court shows three men inside the dispensary when Steiner, from outside, opens fire at the three inside the shop through a window after having fled the building.
Two of the men died after the shooting . They were identified as 18-year-old King Lawrence and 20-year-old Tahir Burley, both from Milwaukie.
