Greenpeace activists have made a significant stand at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium, redirecting tankers in protest against the European Union's continued importation of Russian gas.

LSEG data revealed that tankers, including the Megara and Rias Baixas Knutsen from the U.S., changed course due to the blockade, which began Wednesday.

The action aims to last until Sunday and highlights Europe's complex energy ties with Russia amidst geopolitical tensions, as the EU considers accelerating a ban on Russian LNG imports.
