PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia will host a star-studded, and free, public concert next weekend to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
It's called the Victory at Sea Concert and Veterans Picnic.
The event is being held on Sunday, October 12 at Independence Mall.
Philadelphia's own Patti LaBelle will perform with the U.S. Navy Band and U.S. Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps.
American Idol alum and Doylestown native Justin Guarini will also take the stage, as will bluegrass group Rhonda Vincent and The Rage.
Actor, comedian and retired Marine officer Rob Riggle will serve as host.
Doors open at 6 p.m., the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., and the night will conclude with fireworks.
The day will start with a picnic at Independence Mall from noon
