The heroic actions of a security guard and a rabbi prevented more people being killed in a terror attack on a synagogue in Manchester, witnesses said.

The attacker, who has not yet been identified, is believed to have crashed a vehicle into the gates of Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue at around 9.30am on Thursday before getting out and stabbing worshippers.

Two victims are dead, while a further three are in hospital in a serious condition. New Feature
