An opening date has been set for the new Starbucks at Cambridge Retail Park . The site is replacing the Starbucks next to Pizza Hut on Newmarket Road, as this building earmarked by developer Railway Pension Nominees Ltd to be demolished and replaced with offices .

The café will open at 7am next Friday (October 10). The first 100 customers will be handed a free reusable cup.

A spokesperson for Starbucks commented: "We're looking forward to reopening our coffeehouse on Cambridge Retail Park at 7am on Friday 10th October following a full refurbishment. The store has been completely redesigned, featuring new furnishings and a refreshed look throughout to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our customers to relax and enjoy their handcrafted beverages .
