CHICAGO — A 16-year-old girl was critically wounded in a shooting inside a Washington Park residence early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue just before 7:10 a.m. on the report of a shooting.

A 16-year-old girl was inside a residence when she sustained a gunshot wound to the chin.

She was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
