Peaky Blinders series future confirmed ahead of Netflix movie as creator says he's 'thrilled'

Peaky Blinders' future as a TV show has been confirmed ahead of the upcoming Netflix movie, as its creator said he's ‘thrilled’.

Premiering back in 2013 on BBC One and created by Steven Knight, Peaky Blinders quickly became a cultural phenomenon around the world.

The series follows the exploits of the Peaky Blinders crime gang in the direct aftermath of the First World War, with Cillian Murphy starring as Thomas Shelby.

Set in Birmingham, the acclaimed series also features Helen McCrory, Sam Neill, Annabelle Wallis, Tom Hardy, Paddy Considine, Adrien Brody, Aidan Gillen, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sam Claflin and Stephen Graham .

Following the conclusion of the sixth and final season in 2022, it was announced that Netflix will be releasing a film that concludes the story.
