NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio -- Prior to beginning North Olmsted police department’s annual white-tailed deer management program, Ohio Department of Natural Resources/Division of Wildlife requires an annual survey of residents.
“They designed the survey for all communities that participate in their statewide deer management program,” North Olmsted Department of Public Safety Director Jennifer Scofield said.
“We do this annually to help promote the overall health of the herd, reduce personal injury and mitigate any property damage. We follow strict guidelines provided by the state and use only trained sharpshooters.”
The deer survey is designed to better understand the experiences, concerns and opinions of community members.
