Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Navy Secretary John Phelan will be on the pier at Naval Station Norfolk on Sunday to attend a 250th anniversary celebration for the service.

A White House official told The Washington Post on Tuesday that President Trump would be in Norfolk on Friday — the original date of the anniversary event — before it was moved to Sunday due to concerns about high winds on the pier.

The event, “Titans of the Sea: A Salute to the Fleet,” will feature thousands of sailors in their whites. Veterans and their families are also invited to the event, which a Navy spokesperson described as “massive.”

Later in the week, the Norfolk-based USS Arlington will travel up the Delaware River on Oct. 9 for another Navy 250 celebration in Philadelphia.
