Work to remove street clutter across the city including old telephone boxes is ongoing as part of efforts to allow more space for pedestrians to move around.
It comes as part of the local authority’s rapid repair project which is designed to address urgent and small-scale repairs in the public realm that take away from the city centre experience.
These include issues such as damaged street furniture, broken paving, and other minor but impactful defects that contribute to perceptions of neglect in Glasgow.
An update was brought before the Economy, Housing, Transport and Regeneration City Policy Committee on Tuesday.
Bailie Anthony Carroll said: “It has been mentioned that there are redundant telephone boxes and things like that that create negative perceptions."
