BAY CITY, MI — An Oklahoma woman has admitted in court to embezzling from a Bay County 7-Eleven she used to manage, a scheme unearthed by her routinely using her favorite number on spurious deposits. If she repays the amount she pilfered, though, she’ll avoid having a felony on her record.

KC M. Miller, 31, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, appeared before Bay County Circuit Judge Jessie Scott Wood and pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement between $1,000 and $20,000, a five-year felony. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to dismiss a charge of embezzling between $20,000 and $50,000.

The prosecution also recommended Miller receive a delayed sentence, effectively putting her on probation. If Miller repays the full restitution amount she owes before her probationary term is up, she’ll be allowed to
