LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Three people have been arrested for illegally voting in the 2024 elections held in Arkansas, Attorney General Tim Griffin announced on Thursday.

Griffin said investigators who work for him "arrested three noncitizens for illegally voting in our elections."

The investigation into the three began earlier in 2025 when federal officials notified the state about voting records that "appeared to be incongruent with their citizenship status."

One person, 50-year-old Zlata Risley, reportedly voted in the 2024 Republican primary. Originally from Kazakhstan, Risley is lawful permanent resident of the U.S. but is not yet a citizen. She has been charged with a Class D felony for violating Arkansas's election laws.
