LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) - Darin Hubbard, a 56-year-old from Bay Springs, is facing his 8th felony DUI, along with a slew of other charges, after a traffic stop on Monday.
Jones County Sergeant Oster is leading this case. He said that Deputy Kalob Broadway was out patrolling on 16th Avenue in Laurel when he noticed a small child standing up in the back seat of a truck. The truck made a U-turn, and Deputy Broadway initiated a traffic stop.
During the stop, Oster said that Broadway observed a small child standing up in the front seat and four other unrestrained children in the back seat. While speaking to Hubbard, Broadway noticed a strong alcohol smell.
