North Lanarkshire Council is carrying out improvement work at the double bend on the A73 Carlisle Road, south of Woodvale Avenue, in Airdrie . ‌

To date, the existing street lighting has been improved to highlight the warning signs ahead of the bend, SLOW road markings have been refurbished and new markings installed, vegetation has been removed to improve visibility, drainage and road signs have been cleaned and temporary fencing has been installed near the bridge. ‌

The existing carriageway will be re-textured and additional road markings applied. ‌
