Bruiser and Bicycle, with Rotterdam natives, forge new path on 'Deep Country' -

It’s not every day that a local band garners the kind of national attention Bruiser and Bicycle did with its last album, “Holy Red Wagon.”

Released by independent record label Topshelf Records based in Portland, Oregon, the sprawling 2023 record landed the indie-rock group on the radar of critics far beyond the Capital Region. Pitchfork called the album “vivid and dreamlike, revealing a meticulous attention to detail,” and placed it on the site’s list of best under-the-radar finds for 2023.
