Nederland is inching closer to acquiring the Eldora ski resort, but questions about the major purchase remain.

The town was eyeing October as the month to finalize its purchase of one of the closest ski resorts to Denver back in July, though it’s unclear whether that timetable is still in the cards. Nederland, a town of about 1,500 people, plans to purchase the resort from POWDR, a Utah-based company that acquired the resort about a decade ago and also owns Copper Mountain. Town officials could not be reached for comment.
