People ask me how I balance my work with my family life and the short answer is “carefully.” I’m blessed with an incredible support system and kids who understand what dad’s job entails. Family still comes first, usually, unless playoffs or football is involved.

But that’s changing this year.

The calendar has thrown Halloween on a Friday night and with seven games still scheduled, I can tell you with 100 percent confidence I will not be at any of them.
