LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was arrested for making threats against children on a Facebook Live after an eight-hour standoff with LMPD's SWAT team on Wednesday.

At about 4 p.m., Louisville Metro police were alerted to a suspect using Facebook Live to make direct threats to kill children, according to an LMPD news release.

LMPD's Homeland Security Unit began investigating and traced the suspect's address to the 6800 block of Lake Elkhorn Court, just outside Fern Creek.

When LMPD arrive on scene, the suspect began making threats to kill police too, which prompted a response from LMPD's SWAT team.

After a lengthy standoff around his home, police say Robert C. Deleuil was taken into custody just after midnight, uninjured.
