Niagara regional police say 38 stolen vehicles bound for the international market were seized in a "complex and far-reaching" undercover investigation dubbed Project Road King.

The operation also resulted in 30 arrests, 213 criminal charges facing those arrested collectively, and the seizure of $260,000 worth of drugs such as cocaine and MDMA, 17 long guns, three handguns and $500,000 in cash.

At a news conference on Thursday, police shared details of the ongoing drug investigation, which began in the Niagara Region in August 2024.

Police said that by April this year, the investigation turned into a joint-forces operation with several police forces across Ontario, the RCMP, and Canada Border Services Agency.
