Dear Care and Feeding,
My 7-year-old son “Owen” wants one of those inflatable dinosaur Halloween costumes this year. While the one he wants is cute, the problem is that it is very cumbersome and I am concerned it will be a hazard for other kids when they crowd together to receive candy, that it may inadvertently knock something over, or worse, pose a safety risk if he gets too close to a Jack-O-Lantern with a real candle inside. My husband takes him and his little brother out trick-or-treating while I pass out candy, and has said he’s seen plenty of kids with inflatable costumes and there’s never been a problem.
