Police and fire crews were called to the scene when the pilot of a small plane made an emergency landing in Lincoln on Thursday.
It happened at about 11:30 a.m. in an agricultural field in the Spring Hill Road area near Moss Thornton Road, according to police.
The original report was that a plane had crashed, but when emergency crews arrived, they found it was an emergency landing.
Three people were aboard the Cirrus SR22 plane that had departed Birmingham. There were no injuries reported.
No other details were made available.
The National Transportation Safety Board will handle the investigation into the incident.
