FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo police are asking the public to avoid a moose on the loose in south Fargo.

In a Facebook post, Fargo police said they are keeping a close eye on the unexpected visitor. They did not provide a location, but a viewer told Valley News Live the moose was at the Alden Pines Apartments.

The viewer also provided a video of the moose in the parking lot.

Fargo police said moose can be unpredictable and dangerous if approached and asked people to admire the animal from a safe distance.
