NEW YORK (WBTV) - An airplane that took off from Charlotte collided with another plane on a taxiway at a New York City airport on Wednesday night.
The plane -- which was operating as Endeavor Flight 5047 -- landed at LaGuardia Airport in New York and was hit by Endeavor Flight 5155, which was about to leave for Roanoke, Va.
Endeavor is a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. After the Oct. 1 collision, Delta said in a statement that the two airplanes made contact when the wing of Flight 5155 hit the fuselage of Flight 5047. Delta called the incident a “low-speed collision.”
The airline said a flight attendant needed medical treatment but no passengers were hurt.
Delta said 61 people -- including four crew members -- were on Flight 5047 from Charlotte, while 32 people were on the other plane.
