Northgate High School briefly went into a precautionary code yellow lockdown Thursday afternoon after a bomb threat was reported to Coweta County 911.

School officials said no call was made directly to the school. Around 1:30 p.m., administrators were notified by 911 that a threat had been phoned in referencing Northgate.

Principal Dr. Ashley Wilkes said student safety remains the school’s top priority and encouraged families to remind students to report any concerns about their safety or the safety of others.
