Days after Donald Trump called Russia a “paper tiger", Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said he did not know if US President was “ironic" and Moscow would respond swiftly if it thinks Europe is provoking it.

Last week, Trump said that Ukraine could win back all territory from Russia and labelled Moscow a “paper tiger".

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years with Ukraine, and it is very much making them look like “a paper tiger."
