SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Over 200 animals were rescued from "extremely hazardous" conditions at a residence in Northport, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced Thursday.

Samantha Boyd, 57, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty and endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person. Her partner, Neal Weschler, 61, was also charged with animal cruelty.

A search warrant was executed at Boyd's residence on Fort Salonga Road in Northport early Wednesday morning. Investigators located over 200 domestic and wild animals, including roosters, ducks, quail, rabbits, crows, starlings, geese, chickens, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, voles, flying squirrels, parakeets, parrots, cockatoos, chinchillas, cats, tortoises, dogs, turkeys
