GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) - A local nonprofit held an event to bring the Upstate together to fight domestic abuse.
Safe Harbor, a private nonprofit dedicated to helping domestic abuse survivors, hosted its seventh annual event called "At The Table" to raise awareness of domestic violence in the Upstate. A panel of community partners discussed topics such as health care and education in schools, and how they intersect with domestic violence.
Safe Harbor said they have housed more than 300 survivors survivors, including 180 children.
The event sought to bring awareness not only to domestic violence, but how it may be increasing.
