Six people were hurt Thursday when an explosion was reported inside a Houston high-rise hotel.

According to KPRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Houston, firefighters were called to 1319 Texas Street near Daikin Park, where at least six people suffered burn injuries in an explosion in a boiler room.

Brent Taylor, communications director with the Houston Fire Department, said the workers were working on a bank of tankless water heaters when the explosion occurred on the 17th floor.

The Holiday Inn is still under construction and no guests were inside at the time, officials said. There were no reported injuries to anyone outside the building.
