A man accused of aiming an air pistol at a woman picking up her children from school and a little later at a group of young people a few blocks away is facing criminal charges, Winnipeg police say.

A man has been charged after police allege he drew an air pistol on a woman picking up her children from school, as well as a group of young people a few blocks away in two random and unprovoked incidents on Wednesday.

A woman told police she was picking up her children from École John Henderson Middle School in the Rossmere neighbourhood around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday when a man approached her vehicle in a threatening manner, police said in a news release on Thursday.
