PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Wells Fargo this week announced plans to lay off 50 more workers at its downtown office in Portland.
It’s the latest round of lay offs the banking company has made in over the past year.
“We continue to bring the majority of our non-customer facing positions together in locations to best meet the needs of our business and provide an improved work experience for our employees,” wrote Lylah Holmes, executive director of Wells Fargo public affairs, in a statement to FOX 12. “This effort does not impact our commitment to serving customers and clients in the Portland area. Customer-facing employees will continue to meet local customers’ and clients’ needs for the best service and advice.”
