TORONTO, ON — Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is considered to be on the short list of possible Democratic presidential candidates in 2028, but recent comments might lead some to think she is holding off on that White House bid.
During a trip to Toronto, Whitmer spoke at a forum at the Empire Club of Canada . The speech aimed at reinforcing the Michigan–Canada economic relationship, and highlighted the cross-border partnership.
During her speech, Whitmer criticized the Trump Administration's tariffs affecting the auto industry.
