A Springfield man who served more than a decade in prison for killing his wife in the 1980s was sentenced last week for killing a second spouse in 2024, officials said.
Kenneth Robson, 68, was sentenced on Sept. 22 to serve 25 years to life in prison for the slaying of his wife, Quitiza Holmes, 45, according to authorities and legal filings.
Robson’s lawyer didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Robson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case, officials said.
Shortly before 5 a.m. on April 30, 2024, Robson called 911 and indicated that he “hit his wife with a hammer and she might be dead,” Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni‘s office said in a statement.
