Last of four defendants in 2017 murders of four Pasquotank Correctional Institution employees sentenced to life without parole

First Prosecutorial District DA Jeff Cruden has announced the sentencing of Seth Jameson Frazier, the last of the four defendants who murdered four Pasquotank Correctional Institution (PCI) employees during a failed escape attempt on Oct. 12, 2017. The victims were Veronica Darden, Justin Smith, Geoffrey Howe and Wendy Shannon.

The other three defendants, Mikel Brady, Wisezah Buckman and Jonathan Michael Monk, have been tried, convicted and sentenced to death.
