Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was released from jail Wednesday night, having served less than his four-day sentence following a DUI-related plea deal from an October arrest in Tennessee.

Cutler was arrested last October in Tennessee and charged with several offenses: driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence after an accident involving another vehicle.

According to a police report obtained by Chicago television station WGN , Cutler said he offered the driver of the vehicle he hit $2,000 not to call the police and report the accident.
